I didn’t get an email I checked the portal on my own. I got two notifications/letters- one on my scholarship (20,000/yr) and my admissions letter
@IndoBurma Wow, so seems hard to get off waitlist. Also seems there acceptance rate last year was 36%? Wow, wonder if it will hit 35 this year
@ALLYSAMPLE do you have to go still?
How were your stats? I applied ED2 and am nervous about getting in
@IndoBurma well im not going to miami lol
I’m kind of confused why I received $0 in merit scholarships yet have higher stats than some of the people who got money. Does anyone know what a reason for this may be?
Got Accepted for Fall 2018 to the double major Marine Science/Biology Program.
Residency: Florida
Gender: Female
SAT: 1500
ACT: 34
UW GPA: 3.91
W GPA: 4.76
7 AP classes and 9 Dual Enrollment
Was offered the Canes Achievement Award for $13,000 a year along with the top tier of Bright Futures and the Florida Resident Access Grant.
Kinda confused with all of these differing stats and GPA’s and what they used to decide Merit Aid. I really thought I would qualify for a Presidential Scholarship… and definitely won’t be able to afford the school with so little in scholarships.
Congrats to all who were accepted though!
If it says “award access not available” does this mean I didn’t get any merit aid? I applied for financial aid, but they just emailed me saying they don’t have my parents’ W2 forms.
We just saw our merit award via a letter in the message center. FYI, we did not fill out any financial aid forms.
I still don’t know if I got in? Anyone else still waiting?
i am confusion because the award letter UM uploaded says that I did not file my Parental W-2 form but my IDOC on my CSS profile says that the substitute i sent in was received. Will be calling tomorrow!
My finaid is incomplete because of a missing W-2 form, but otherwise i’m happy to have gotten in
Where did you find Bright Futures?
Are scholarship awards listed in the Financial Aid eligibility letter or is it a separate letter?
I applied ED 2 and just saw I had notifications about Financial Aid about “Aid Year 2019”? Is this normal? Anyone know what this could mean
I’m still waiting as well…
I applied for Fall 2018 ED 2 so idk why it said 2019
accepted 4.0 UW 5.2W 36 ACT superscored 35 regular top 10 in a competitive high school of 500+ and got $23k presidential along with $7k bright futures and $3k florida resident grant
Son got accepted to double major Marine Science/Biology.
1530 SAT
3.9 UW GPA
5.28 W GPA
14 APs
$20K Presidential Scholarship
So relieved!
If I got accepted into spring but my sat has increased since i submitted my app, do you think there’s anyway I could be reconsidered for fall???
