@NJ2000 I am surprised you were Deferred ED from Wake Forest and Deferred from U of Richmond, but your WGPA may indicate a much lower unweighted GPA. So, that might be part of it. However, I didn’t apply to those schools, so what do I know. I will say that after this big admissions scandal that I am starting to think the whole thing with the really Elite schools is rigged. They pretty much know who they are going to accept prior to even reading the essays. It’s done by coaches, major donors and racial quotas. Even the counselors at my HS have said that 15 years ago, the system was relatively fair, but now, if you don’t match up to this criteria at the outset, the reading of the app & essays is just a formality. It’s a done deal.
I am trying to crack the code of the mysterious green circles! Is there anyone on here that was NOT an EA applicant that got the green circle yesterday or today? If so please post that you got the circle and what the final outcome is. Again, NOT EA kids because I believe all deferred EA kids got the circle. The thing must mean something, I just want to know what it means! LOL
@SpartanDrew I noticed the green circle yesterday and am an RD applicant. I’ll let you know how I make out - positive or negative. Hoping positive.
OK thanks @lavendermary. I need to go back to last year’s thread and see if the circles correlated to anything. Outside of the EA kids who as far as I can tell all got circles if they were deferred. I know of 2 kids that got the circles who applied RD, and others that have nothing right now.

Ok, yesterday didn’t care about a circle or no circle cuz thought we were about to find out any minute, but now curious, where the heck is this circle or no circle? Also on CaneLInk where I’m looking it says this: “If you experience any problems when attempting to pay your admission deposit, please contact the UMIT Service Desk” Everyone have this?

My admissions tab is now gone. I was a deferred EA and have had it up until this morning.

OK well if everyone with a new green circle sighting can post here with end results I think it will help shed some light on what it means. I expect decisions to happen today. Maybe end of day but today for sure.
I was also deferred EA but my admissions tab + the infamous green circle is still here.
I really don’t think we should be reading too much into this, everyone. Besides, we won’t know what it means until decisions come anyways. Try to do something you enjoy to take your mind off of the chaos in the meantime. Decisions WILL come.
