University of Miami Class of 2023

@Jasbradbur i meant 11:30 west coast time, that’s around 2:30pm miami time

I was deferred ea and I never had the green dots or the admission tab, the letter just came in my messages so I don’t think either of them mean anything

Since UM is making a conscious decision to focus on yield, the whole admissions process may be different or revamped. So, the Thursday release may have gone by the wayside.

@SlimJim005 we are all rooting for you. My daughter’s stats are good but yours are beyond impressive. You’ve clearly worked very hard and deserve to be admitted to a university that will challenge you and make you happy. Please keep us posted on your outcome and where you wind up next year.

Just called admissions and they said we should hear by next week.

@ikmmeksjs we’ve heard that every week for the past 6 weeks.

don’t bother calling admissions. That’s what they are told to say. It’s today.

@SpartanDrew I feel like you kind of know or have a good idea what the green dots (or lack of) mean from last year. Can you share your thoughts please.

Ok

@Leaddog I’ve looked through the entire thing… They just mean that your application is complete

As we all start to explore the conspiracy theories of what the green dots mean if they still exist or have been removed, looking at the “Status Application” section, my D used to have just on box, for the Fall 2019 Term, that state “This application is Complete.” Well, another box has just been added, for the Spring 2020 Term, which states “This application is Incomplete.” ???

How are people so positive it’s coming out today?

Ditto, how does everyone know it’s today and not next week??

@Jasbradbur That’s exactly what I thought and even posted yesterday. But several people either don’t have the admissions section or green dot and some have disappeared. Just seeing if there really is any correlation form someone who went through this last year. Probably not - but thought I’d asked.

The system they use is older, about 2011 and even @SpartanDrew said it probably not. Yeah, the way everything works is getting annoying. @15cjames We dont. We are just super hopefull!

guys go to last year’s thread. Look at the posts and see what correlates then you’ll understand my theory. And it’s just that… a theory. I certainly don’t know for sure

No admissions tab. It disappeared weeks ago. My S was EA but had to wait until RD because of auditions with Frost.

@SpartanDrew can you like reiterate your theory in concise terms im still tryna figure everything out as far as “green circle” goes

At the music orientation held during auditions this year they said admission decisions would be out the 3rd week in March. Last year decisions came out on or around the 23rd which is consistent. When I called the music program to see if something could be added to my daughter’s music resume (like a week and a 1/2 ago) she told me the Frost admission decisions were all done but if it was academic it could still be added to that portion of her application - but that a musical honor wouldn’t change anything at this point. So hopefully today?!

Is frost known to come out the same day as regular decisions?
