Accepted every other college including Tulane (significant merit), Wisconsin, Georgia, etc.
No idea why waitlisted but seems like in good company. Very interesting how UM is doing this!
Did not visit campus or send LOCI. Tbh interest fell after other acceptances. Will not take waitlist spot

Portfolio: Relatively strong ( received portfolio awards from Syracuse, Drexel, and Pratt)
Other: Went to 3 high schools (changed 4 times) which may be how I got in with my stats.

@Ctaub01 we live in NJ and my son got in. no idea if he had green dot or not.
I visited, sent a letter of interest, all of my stats are higher than average, and applied EA and got waitlisted and this was my top school…

i have northwestern and ivies and stuff to hear from too as well as some others like BU and some smaller schools… just not feeling so great now about admissions

@oj2018 yes all of the above - dtr. visited from NJ, met with admissions counselor, met with the marine biology professors, sent a LOCI etc. expressed that it was her first choice - SAT 1420 (not superscore) UWGPA 3.8; WGPA 4.0; 5 APs/8 honors; captain of varsity fencing and made individal states in her weapon; section leader of clarinet section of her marching band; in the wind ensemble; in NHS; in SNHS; brother with special needs; lots of other ECs and volunteering etc. etc.
She is planning on studying marine biology and already is a diver with multiple diving certifications/NITROX/shark ID etc.
She is so disappointed but I think Rosensteil will be a better fit for her for grad school and she has many other offers of admission with generous merit scholarship offers so either way she will be fine.
