@lfc101 how could she get rejected and accepted? If you don’t believe me check the EA applicants. All those with cancelled got rejected
I would love to believe you, but I really do not see a scenario when it is cancelled prior to admission notification and it isn’t a rejection
Does cancelled mean rejected? I see cancelled but no info…
Please tell me this isn’t a rejection
Mine says cancelled, good luck to you all. Guess this is the end of a dream
@SpartanDrew what do you think application “cancelled” means? I think a lot of deferred EA kids had the cancelled under status when EA decisions came out. I could be wrong though. I just want to know what my decision is lol
I honestly hope I’m wrong but it doesn’t look good.
well guess I’m gonna go to UC Santa Cruz then lol
@Ctaub01 the only EA applicants that had a Cancelled status were the ones who later received a rejection letter. D was deferred from EA, no cancelled status.
sorry I just like u
respect what u been doing on here @SpartanDrew
Right, but does it really mean anything if we didn’t get a notification yet? @ifer67
I am confused - cancelled means rejected or no?
this stressing me out
@FortniteBR UCSC is beautiful and a good school! Are you awaiting word from any other UCs? We’re waiting on UCI & UCSD right now. Rejected UCSB earlier this week.
@bcwaeo i have cancelled but no decision. Not sure what it means
I don’t know guys, my green dot theory this morning wasn’t a good one and didn’t want to bum anyone out that had the dot if the theory was bunk. But it doesn’t seem to be incorrect. I have no clue what cancelled means or anything else. All I know is the theory seems to be panning out. Green dot is either a waitlist or a rejection. Although tbh I don’t know if anyone declined admission had the green dot. It would be great if the green dot people would post results. So far none of the admitted people ever had it.
Here’s the thing guys, trust that you will end up where you were meant to. My D was admitted last year to her top choice but didn’t get enough money to go. She ended up at another place that wasn’t even on her radar at all and is thriving there. Exactly where she should be and now is happy she didn’t end up at what was originally her top choice. keep the faith. You’ll all be great where you land!!
why are they doing this to us
For all of those stating that any decision is an end of a dream, that’s not true. Everyone will find their place as everything has a tendency to work out. And for those students who do not exactly know where U. Miami in Coral Gables is, as an fyi, it isn’t close to the beach, Brickell, or South Beach. It is west down Calle Ocho, if you like cafe Cubano, Cuban food (delicious) and cigars. The stadium where UM plays football is also not close by. Other than the university, if it is about activity (other than what occurs on campus), there is no much happening in Coral Gables, although it is a very nice place. Lastly, for those who may not know, freshmen who live in the dorms are not even allowed to have a car on campus.
@ifer67 I am all finished with my UC’s, just waiting on University of San Diego and Miami, wbu?
Does anyone know how many waitlisted students end up getting offers in the end? My D is heartbroken. UM was her first choice. 1440 SAT. Lots of EC and 4.1 GPA. Lots of tears. Waitlisted from all her top schools.
@FortniteBR UCI and UCSD are the last two. Already accepted to UTampa, Santa Clara, Loyola Marymount, Chapman, and U San Diego. GL with USD, great school and gorgeous locale.
