@CalifMom2Twins sorry my response is so late. i did speak to them and i was admitted off of the waitlist. my packet came in yesterday but i did not accept. she told me they were admitting waitlist students that week so i’m not sure if they’re continuing. best of luck!

Happy Labor Day! I am wondering if someone from this thread can help me. I am trying to go debt-free. So, from what I see on the net price calculator (not sure how accurate that is) if I get the 25k Presidential and pair it with the Pell Grant and Bright Futures, I would be getting a total of $39k still $13k short of the $52k tuition. I am not sure if there are any other grants that are not listed on their website. Has anyone applied there with an EFC of 0 or close to 0? What do they give for extreme need?

        they will give you a UM Coral Grant. But any scholarship you receive including bright futures will lower the grant by that amount. Also there are the FSAG and FSEOG and they will offer work study and federal loans. Good luck!

I applied ED (class of 2024) and was DEFERRED to RD.
Anyone know what the true chances are of being accepted?

How many folks that get a deferred decision actually end up being admitted?

Or is this just Miami’s way of delaying when they deny you?
