Actually no. You submit your supplemental essay and they decide. You are then invited to meet everyone during the weekend. Stamps requires a weekend before getting the scholarship
the premier scholarships seem different this year. One scholarship weekend when you get it. My son was prompted to send essay in december (EA). The letter said if he got it he would know by the end of january and would be invited to scholarship weekend.
he didnāt have anything about the premier scholarships in his messagesā¦just presidential. So maybe he didnāt get one of the premierā¦

Selected candidates for the Singer Scholarship are prompted to submit an essay for consideration as finalists. The Selection Committee will review all essay submissions and identify the finalists whom they recommend to receive the Singer Scholarship. Recipients of the Singer Scholarship will be invited to attend Scholarship Weekend at the University of Miami in the spring. During this two-day weekend program, visiting students will meet with UM faculty and current scholars and learn more about our interest-driven education.
For the parents/kids who are receiving premier scholarships, CONGRATS!!! You all have nothing to worry about, haha, you already know that youāre in! The rest of us are stressed! 
@jabsmom10 can you still see the letter regarding the singer? or was it also rescinded with all of the presidential scholarship letters?

well one of my friends found out they got a scholarship here in FL guess its not looking too good for me 
I love the U, our older child is a student there now, but they really have to get their admissions notifications together, lol. There was confusion last year, tooā¦ I think this has caused me more stress than just waiting to hear. Wondering if not getting the disappearing letter means itāll be a no for our daughter. By the way, sheās at work and has no idea that this has even happened! I think Iāll keep it to myselfā¦
