I didn’t get an email I just randomly checked my portal and there was a message
Can someone explain what’s going on? I saw all the new messages and assumed decisions were out. Did they accidentally release decisions then remove them? And I’ve seen some posts about emails. My son doesn’t have an email. Did that disappear as well?
They accidentally released FA decisions then removed them.
So everyone who ‘accidentally’ got a notice is assuming they got in. And everyone who didn’t is assuming…

My son received a spam email and by the time he heard about it, there was nothing to see on cane link. We have a “snow day” today and S19 is just going to wait for decisions to come out–whenever that will be. But if anyone does have info to share, please do.
does Umiami defer people? If they do, is it like Stanford where only a select few are deferred or do they defer the vast majority?
I called at 9:30 - I asked if we shouldn’t expect good news, since my daughter didn’t receive any notice like some did last night. He apologized for the confusion, and said “don’t read anything into it”, and that decisions would be out by the end of the week. Admissions are trained to answer questions certain ways, so unfortunately, we just have to wait and see what happens…
My EA child just randomly looked at portal yesterday evening, to find a letter of congratulations on earning a merit scholarship (not premiere). Perplexed by lack of email or admission decision (although the letter did state congratulations on being admitted, before explaining scholarship). Did end up finding email from UM to check portal in spam, so have students check email junk/spam folder, although I don’t think it will link you any longer. Good luck to everyone!! Hopefully it all gets released very soon!
I spoke to financial aid 10 minutes ago. They said it was a big miscommunication within the University. Don’t read anything into it. Everyone will get their notices within a week.
GM everyone! Same here, I called admissions and they said it was a glitch and to expect decisions for EA in the next week or two ?. This is so stressful! What an agonizing wait! However, I’m sure it’ll all be well worth it at the end??

I called Admission Office ten minutes ago, AO just told me it is early Feb or one day next week.
