@noah2425 I sure hope you are right that merit is yet another letter and some merit comes through for us too. My son did get that glitch email back on Tuesday and I was hopeful it meant some merit $ was coming his way.
they defer a lot of overqualified people that it would be safety schools for assuming if you really wanted to go youād ED. kinda ridiculous imo
Itās annoying all the deferrals going on bc itās no point then doing ed if your lumped with rd and I couldnāt do ed bc itās a toss up with FA
@SlimJim005 those schools are missing out on awesome you. My son has had his fair share of disappointment too, we keep saying that all of these little things, bad news, etc. are leading him where he is meant to beā¦
how late can merit come out? they claimed my fafsa was missing but i called (because i sent it a long time ago) and they said they have it. wonder if this can delay merit?
Does anyone know if merit immediately comes out with acceptance or maybe there is some delay? Expected some sort of merit.

Curious about the highly qualified candidates who were either deferred or deniedā¦did you visit campus or show interest in any way? Just trying to gauge how highly qualified candidates can let these schools know that they are truly interested in the schools and not just considering them āsafetyā schools. It really is mind boggling that so many of you were deferred or denied.

@sandyi18 yeah i visited and attended the meetings they held at my school. thought i showed a good amount of interest especially considering i live pretty far away but guess not
Yeah I demonstrated interest I visited and I live in the Midwest. I emailed my admissions counselor but I wish I wouldāve kept in contact more I j sent her one email. I follow every um account on insta and Twitter and have called various times I really donāt know how much more interest. I put my stats and stuff in Ea deferred discussion
@SlimJim005 Im not going to sugar coat this and tell you it will all work out (which it will I know butā¦) at this moment, this truly sucks. To have such high scores and grades like so many of you do and not get in is truly mind boggling. This whole process is a total crapshoot.
