I think realistically the mean GPA is around a 3.2. Seems like it would be higher at UM but most transfers I know got in with a 3.2-3.45. I think all of you guys are fine, if you’re at a 3.2 or above it just comes down to your ACT/SAT, but you’re definitely qualified.
Also anyone else transferring from UF?
I am a freshman with a 4.0 at FSU, but my high school GPA wasn’t the best and my sat is average what do you think my chances are??
I’m transferrin from FIU! My SATs are not in the equation because I’m a sophomore with sufficient credits.
I wrote a strong essay and have a reccomendation letter from my boss at BBC Studios. So I’m not particularly worried.
I’m just tired of waiting and the UCLA student’s rejection (don’t know if it’s true or not) put me on edge!

@SDiaz18 You’re fine, that GPA looks killer if the classes aren’t like basket-weaving. Also they’ll prob take you just to spite FSU.
Just noticed there are almost 650 replies on this thread, blows every previous one outta the water. Does anyone know if they release a transfer acceptance rate? I don’t think many colleges do, but that would be helpful.
No idea! I’ve tried searching the acceptance rate but haven’t had much luck in finding it. I only found the avg stats which don’t say much 
Incoming GPA for transfers is a 3.4 so I think we’re good
@danielaperr21 @bbm217 according to niche their acceptance rate is 38%
for transfers? I think that’s just in general! I found one that said transfers were about 45% accepted or something , maybe even 50 something % , around there @unicornlove

Look at UMiami Common Data Set. It will give you a better stat. Nearly a 60% admission rate last year, but obviously the enrollment rate is lowered.
Also seems that they admit evenly between both genders.
maybe the class of 2022 isn’t as big as 2021??

@unicornlove oh no! That’s too bad. I’m sure you’ll get in, we don’t have many Canadians that live in Miami! Only the ones who visit. We’d love to have you. Fingers crossed that we find out no later than this week
