Ok, so I just talked to them and I won’t be getting my admission’s decision until they get my spring grades, so anyone in the same boat as me, we’ll be waiting a few more weeks.
@JAngel17 I am sorry to hear but I have a feeling you’re going to get admitted. I think they are highly considering you but want to see how you’re doing this semester so I hope you’re killing it in classes! Best of luck!
No worries. I’ve got all A’s, so that’s not a problem. I’d just rather not wait lol.
Hey everyone, for those who haven’t heard back yet:
I just called the admissions office and they said decisions come out on a rolling basis, every two weeks. So apparently some decisions came out last week so the next wave would be coming out either next week of two weeks from today.

@adamkennedyt Yeah it’s kind of weird because if people got their decisions today, then what the lady told me was wrong. She clearly stated that decisions come out every two weeks. So if decisions came out today, they should come out again on 3/25. But I’m going to keep checking my portal every day lol.
I thought more decisions were coming out tomorrow and Friday ?

Applied for the School of Criminology/Sociology. Admitted to the College of Arts & Sciences as a Criminology Major.
Application was deemed complete on: February 27th, 2018
I am graduating from Broward College with an AA (60 plus credits.) Applied with a 3.18 GPA (had a bad start to my college career.)
In my essay I stated that UM was my dream school and a culture I wanted to be a apart of. I also stated why I chose UM and what I planned to accomplish if granted admission into UM.
I had 8 letters of recommendation which I feel were a big help because they came from proven people. One came from a professor at UM and the other came from one of the heads of the UM Air Force ROTC program. So I had strong letters of recommendation.
Two extracurricular’s: Society of Leadership & Community Service.
I personally don’t think my stats were that strong but they were fairly competitive. I believe anyone can get into UM if they really work hard for it.

@unicornlove Well I’m going to keep checking every single day haha, honestly everyone gets different answers when you call admissions so you can never be sure!
My application was completed a week ago but I applied w/ common app on March 1. Should I be hearing back later or what?
