I am a current UM student, and if all goes well I will in fact be one of the orientation fellows welcoming you guys early August. I do not work in the admissions department but I know many who do. For all of you who are anxious I can imagine the intense feelings you guys have. It’s okay, yes UM is a bit disorganized due to the fact that all our departments have NEVER been digitalized before, always wary of privacy violations of students and faculty. We have only gone digital as of the middle of March, with many different changes and accommodations being made. Please be patient, UM will get back to you on a decision, financial aid is also still being handled at the moment so everyone will get notified gradually. Just ensure all documents from your end are submitted. Stay safe and welcome to the U!
