<p>RE: Merit $. They said that they would let us know by letter at the end of March. (So, look for it around 4/15) <:-P </p>
<p>Accepted this morning – saw it under Communications and viewed letter – but now it’s not showing up anymore! Back to only 2 communications. Is anyone else having this problem?</p>

<p>SmartKookie, Yes, same here. Son had 3 communications w/ acceptance letter/awarded pres. scholarship showing no amount. Now showing only 2 communications too. Maybe updating system? </p>

<p>i know two people so far that have ben accepted, one from boca raton FL and one from Tenafly NJ, both smart white jewish girls. other than that i have no idea on anyone or anything else</p>
<p>ccm4mary - congrats on Pres! they really should send other merit awards out with these decisions. And then not take them back after we view them!</p>
<p>CONGRATS to all of you that have been accepted !! The merit scholarship announcements coming out so late is new. If it is true then that means they are holding off on awarding Presidential’s until after the last S/S weekend. Very different from last few years.</p>

<p>Thanks smartkookie! FYI just called Admissions. Their system is down & they realize all that saw acceptances can no longer until this afternoon. Said no worries. All good. Await your letter. Good luck! </p>
<p>If the school is trying to entice strong students to choose Miami, it seems much wiser to offer the merit scholarships now (like it used to, and other similar schools still do). Get those students excited about the school right away and get them to come down for a visit now, while it’s cold and snowy up north. Many students and parents are sold once they check UM out in person.</p>

<p>Im from New York and have just been accepted to the CAS!!! If I didn’t get any notification of presidential scholarship in my letter. Does that mean I will not be receiving any merit money?</p>

<p>@biocellar my school does it a little differently, gpas are on a 100 point scale and we dont have class rank. but i have a 90 with 3 aps and a 32 composite ACT. My ec’s are: lacrosse team, chorus(leadership position), vocal group(leadership position), a few musicals, key club, and debate team(board member).</p>
<p>So I only have one communication… basically it just said that my ea app was received but in the admissions section it says that my application is complete meaning they aren’t missing my rec letters. Since the accepted students can no longer see their lets, does that mean I’m accepted? I’m from nj. 1440 (cr + m) with a 100 weighted gpa. I was confident, but now I’m a bit worried</p>
<p>@shall0710 I’d say you should expect $10-15K based on last year’s numbers. But this year could be very different</p>
