Thank you very much, @alewis56 . Currently, there is still no ‘View Decision’ link in my Wolverine Access, and I have not received any decision email yet.
I just got rejected by the admissions because I failed to complete some of the prerequisites before transferring to COE.
I believe that the change in course equivalency is the main factor of it. Initially, Calculus 3 course that I had taken from my institution was equivalent to Umich MATH 215. Recently, I just realized that Cal 1, 2, and 3 courses from my institution was now equivalent to Umich MATH 116. I was completely shocked and disappointed after knowing about it. =((
Anyway, good luck and all the best for those applicants who got admitted into Umich!
@TimeWarp I got rejected for this fall too for the same reason and then was admitted for the winter after fulfilling all the prerequisite requirements. Never give up!
@DivergentScholar just wanna know did you rewrite the application essays? hate writing.
@Isfrer I think it depends on your situation as to whether or not you will have to rewrite the essays. I was initially rejected for fall 2016 and after talking to my transfer counselor I found out I could “roll over” my application to apply for Winter 2017 without paying any new application fees, writing any new essays, or getting new letters of recommendation. When I reapplied, I didn’t even use the common app. Instead I had to send in an email stating I was reapplying and sent in updated transcripts from all institutions I was attending.
Again, I think it all depends on your particular circumstance, so check with your transfer counselor to make sure, but I hope this helps!
@DivergentScholar thanks a lot!
How long did it take for your supplemental items, college transcript, high school transcript etc., to show up on wolverine access after sending it??
@dullbd My supplemental items actually never showed up. My college transcripts showed up on the “credentials” page, but the other page that had a table for other materials was blank. (I can’t go back and look because it gets rid of those links after admission) I would call them to be sure everything is 100% done on your part, but in my case they were not showing up because my evaluation for Diffeq was still in progress. Best of luck to you.
@DivergentScholar I am giving up and not going to continue applying because it is not worth for me. I already applied three times to University of Michigan as a freshman and a transfer.
Besides Calculus 3 issue, I found that they did not give me the advanced credits standing for my Cambridge A-Level as well after emailing to engintra@umich.edu. I guess that they might have forgotten to evaluate the transcript. I emailed them about it, but they still have not given me a clear reason why and how can this happened. Disappointed…
I decided to go other college and will have 74 credits. Maybe one day, I will continue my Master in Umich if I have the chance to study there… :((
Hi guys, Happy holidays! I need your help. I got my accaptance email to CoE on December 21. Literally a couple days before holidays! It is so late that I first thought it’s been a mistake until I got the official letter. I was so hopless about admission that I even didn’t send my FAFSA when I submitted my application. Now FA office is closed for the holidays. I cannot attend without FA. My enrollement date is JAN 4th. I can’t add any classes now. I live in California and have to move to Michigan this week to get to my classes! I also need to apply for housing, but I don’t know if anything is left. Do you have any advice for me?? Thanks.
Can’t you do the FAFSA after you’ve been accepted? I don’t think you have to do the FAFSA, when you apply to a college. You should check the Michigan website, they should have a date when the FAFSA needs to be turned in. @SiaA
Actually I can, and I did, but there is no guarantee that they review that before tuition deadline. It takes up to a month to review the fafasa.
Does anybody know how many days will it take to process FA application?
