On umich’s tumblr page they said They would post when they were planning to release the final batch and they haven’t posted anything yet. Is this a sign they might not be releasing any tomorrow?

They release them at midnight so it would be tonight they were released
Seems to me they would release the rejections on a Friday. It gives students the weekend to let the disappointment subside. The admissions staff wouldn’t have to deal with excessive phone calls the following day. Next Friday is a holiday.

UM is so messy
the fact i’ve been waiting since september for a decision is outrageous. i don’t care if they were swamped with applications. plenty of other schools deal with it and have different strategies in order to get out decisions. if a decision hasn’t been made for me after 6 months, then that is ridiculous.
@class0f15 It did not take them 6 months to make a decision. The deadline for EA was Nov 1. They decided not to admit you in EA. Then they wait for the RD application and your mid year school report to re-evaluate you against other applicants over the last couple months. They did not keep reading your application for 6 months.

The Michigan tumblr site says most decisions are out and has the denied/waitlist comments
@96blue Are you talking about the post they just made? I don’t know if it’s really accurate because the first line says “fall 2014”. I feel like they copy and pasted everything from last year lol.

I’m sure they would have noticed it by now if it was sent about 40 minutes ago… And have you noticed the part where it says, “if you are a rare exception… please contact your counselor.” Umm, that accounts for a lot of us. I don’t see where the “rare exception” came from then…
Do you suppose that we should still email out counselors though?
Also, this is kind of trivial, but did we ever get an email from UMich yet? I’m wondering if maybe they could have emailed that address, but I don’t remember getting one…
I think that they had that post set to publish at a certain time (tomorrow around this time maybe) and it was set for today by accident
