University of Michigan - Deferral Thread

Keep the Faith Brotha’s and Sista’s! Somebody has to get in…ask yourself…I mean really ask yourself…“Why not me!!!”
Only YOU can answer that question…well, you and The U of M Admissions Office!
Peace, Love and a little on the side! Color me gone for tonight!

I guess when they say “early April”, they mean it.

@ Sundaypunch…Word!

stay positive ppl!!! and work hard

Another day…

Someone I know just posted a status on Facebook saying they were accepted… not sure how exactly they found out today but yeah…

@YBhope
Is he or she a music performance major?

yea some people were accepted today, literally i just go on twitter and search #victors2018 and people today and on other days have posted that they got accepted

i’m fully convinced that umich looked at my app and decided to never get back to me… just look “oh lets just never answer her”

so that’s my life

i feel your pain

Since my deferral letter…the alleged " bad" version as opposed to the “good” version…I have had no contact whatsoever…I am adrift!

Soooo…what is everyone’s second choice seeing we are riding the HMS Titanic to the seabed here?

Umich was my DREAM… but UIUC is now my first choice because of my deferral from umich… however my parents are making me wait.

Either Northwestern or Indiana Business. It’s annoying because I got direct admit to Kelley in October, and could have been done. It’s really making me wonder what the next four years at Michigan will be like if they are anything similar to the admittance process.

I wouldn’t freak out just yet. I got what is supposedly the “good” deferral letter and still haven’t received a decision either way. It will be what it will be. Of course waiting isn’t fun, but if it is meant to be, then you’ll get in. They said by Mid-April you will receive a decision and it is early March still. It could be that they are releasing deferrals on a state-by-state basis; I know many people in NY who got in the other day, but no one from CT (my homestate), at least not from my region. With that in mind, I hope everyone calms down and smells the roses. Have a good day!

I wonder how many people received deferral letters at EA and still got in when they finally release most or all admission decisions towards the end of the month or in april. I have this idea that of you haven’t gotten in after getting deferred you aren’t getting in with myself included; however, I could be incredibly off. I don’t have last years data to back up my statement.

@ajrgcpro on their official facebook page a girl asked a question regarding your thoughts, asking if only acceptances have been released so far and if they send rejections at the end. They replied saying that both acceptances AND rejections have been going out so far at the same time, and it will be like that for the remainder of the releasing period. So don’t lose hope! There is still a chance for us

Well I am really banking on Michigan. I really am not thrilled to most likely attend IU

My friend got into the school of architecture this morning! Does anyone know if they’re gonna be sending out decisions in small batches all week?

If you have been reading this thread, it’s clear that no one knows when more decisions will be released.
