I understand that I may come off as desperate but at this point I think that I might need to take the risk
Sorry if this questions has already been answered…but has anyone who has been deferred been given a flat out decline at this point?
@brewsty someone oos to coe was denied on here but no one else from cc in this thread posted a denial
@brewsty I have the same question. Has anyone who applied EA been given a straight up denial? I haven’t seen anyone that I can remember report themselves that they’ve been denied. A couple hearsays but that’s it. Then again they probably aren’t lurking here if they’ve been denied. It seems crazy to have so many deferred EA students waiting for so long instead of just giving denials to the thousands of applicants who have no chance at getting in but keep hoping and checking their portals/emails. This drip drip drip admission decision style is something we haven’t experienced with any other school and seems particularly torturous especially since so many kids will get denied in the end after waiting and checking for months.
If you search on twitter like “umich rejection” “rejected uofm” “rejected from umich” “rejected from the university of michigan” you can find some rejections in December meaning they got rejected from Early Action
I know of multiple kids who have been rejected…not in the original decision, but in the last month
I dont think michigan rejects anyone in EA.
Rejection in EA is not common, if that happens at all.
When’s the next wave of decisions? I heard Wednesdays and Fridays are usually the days they are sent out.
@EthanAz1, I am gong to send an LOCI. However this will be my first
@billcsho should I send in a second loci?
Son was accepted to LAS yesterday. He heard a rumor and checked the port, which said accepted. Email came 4 hours later. OOS, 1490 SAT, 4.45 weighted from a Northern IL competitive high school. Still waiting on Ross.
For those who have been accepted:
is the “View Decision” tab still there?
@east1j Yes, it re-appears with the new “congratulations” message.
Whoever was accepted, do you have access to the LSA honor’s application?
@EthanAz1 what would you even say? unless you won an award or something the second LOCI would be about what?
Can I put down a deposit for another school to save my spot while also waiting to hear from Michigan? Or would I have to withdraw my application?
@greeneandh Yes, the LSA Honors app link is now active.
Can someone who got accepted into engineering copy and paste their acceptance letter into this thread please so I know what to look for?
so Is there like little to no hope for LSA applicants now?
