I am always amazed how senior leaders in academia, business, politics, media or the military get into scandals due to inappropriate relationships with subordinates, especially after the “Me Too” movement started. Did they not think it would end badly? I realize in many of these positions, they spend inordinate amounts of time with employees - often more than with their spouse, if they are married - but they could not find “companionship” outside the workplace?
