I honestly don’t think he was looking for “ companionship” and sought it out at work. Based on these almost boring exchanges this wasn’t trying to engage in some titillating affair. It was falling in love or at least in deep affection with someone because you’re spending so much time with them. It’s a stupid thing to act on those feelings though.
