Thank you! I appreciate the response!
Application was downloaded on 10/31 - should I be worried that we havenât heard back yet? Seems like other decisions were faster. Sheâs applying for Marine Biology from out of state.
My daughter applied on 8/24 and weâre still waiting. Also from OOS
Ours did, too. As anticipated, it made an impact on his thinking, bringing âOh, they actually think Iâm enough of a target that they want to compete for me?â into the equation, instead of just lingering in the middle of his ordering of schools to which heâs applied. Cost-wise, I think this (Apex - $10k/year for OOS) brings UOâs sticker price in line with or slightly below other publics heâs considering, so doesnât make a massive difference from his parentsâ perspective, but seems like a good marketing move to have these auto-merit awards, to flatter students and continue the conversation with them after the acceptance notification.
Same boat here - downloaded 8/31, OOS, no decision yet. Daughter did check in with the admissions counselor and was told they have everything they need, that her application was in review and that she would have a decision by 12/15. No mention of why some are hearing decisions in a few days, and others have been waiting for 2 months. Iâm sure there is a reason, just not sure what that reason is yet!
My daughter heard in about 10 days. Also OOS and marine biology.
My daughter applied for architecture and received her acceptance to the University in October and a merit scholarship this past Friday.
Well it took a bit but daughter just got her acceptance + merit/scholarship notification last night. Going through the next steps and links provided in the emails, one of the to-dos is to register for housing. But, it appears that the links provided are for last yearâs housing (24-25). Does anyone know when housing registration will open for 25-26? None of the links or ability to register for a Duck ID seem to be working either, so wondering if its just too early? Or, does that come with some time after an acceptance is communicated?
I mapped out all the housing requirements for my student a couple of weeks ago across all the places he has applied. My spreadsheet lists that housing opens in January for Oregon. For what it is worth, my son also got his acceptance last night and we were a little confused by the verbiage listed in the housing section, so Iâm defaulting to my notes.
Curious - when did you apply?
October 11th. OOS. Business major.
Got an email today saying " Youâre on your way to becoming a Duck! Be part of a community focused on pursuing life-changing knowledge in one of our planetâs most beautiful placesâEugene, Oregon.â. and " Check your Application Portal for updates and reach out to me with any questions! We see your potential greatness and canât wait to see what you do next as a Duck.â
Sounds like a tease of an acceptance, but hard to tell. Nothing in the Portal unless we arenât looking in the right place? Is the portal notice really obvious?
It will be more obvious than that. My D received an email that had this header:
Then in the portal, you will need to click a link to see the decision. My Dâs still looks like this:
When you click âView Updateâ it has an admission offer and confetti moving on the screen.
My son got the same email today with no status update in his portal.
Does anyone know if honors college and regular admissions results are submitted independently or at the same time? In other words, my son applied to both. Will the results only be posted when both have made a decision or are they posted independent of each other?
When my daughter applied two years ago, the decisions came separately. CHC decision came a few weeks later.
My daughter was admitted, but hasnât heard back from the honors college. It shows as âappliedâ on the portal.
2 years ago my son was admitted on 11/17 & then admitted to CHC on 12/16 via email notification. I think youâll hear from CHC in the next week or so
Still nothingâŠ.
Got a notice that she needed to re-do the SRAR - she put in the quarterly grades, but her school sent them as annual and they want the transcript to match EXACTLY. Like âENG 9Hâ canât be âEnglish 9Hâ. Got that done last Wednessday, hoping that means they were looking at her but also hoping it doesnât mean she got dropped to the bottom of the pileâŠfingers crossed.
