There are a LOT of universities and dental schools that have joint programs and affiliations that allow anywhere from 1-25 high school students to gain admission into dental school under an accelerated program (6/7 years) or a standard program (8 years). So it ultimately saves you from the pressure of applying to dental schools and may save you a year of college.</p>
