Actually, I think you have a pretty good shot at the less selective engineering programs (everything besides engineering science). Computer science or any pure sciences at U of T is super easy to get into (80+ average usually gets you an acceptance). Like what one of the previous posters stated, most people get in but drop out because of the low acceptance bar and the grade deflation.
If you’re thinking about the different campuses, I urge you to consider only the St George campus, unless it’s more convenient to live at the other campuses (but since you’re an international, this isn’t all too relevant). The Scarborough and Mississauga campuses are more like your small town community colleges, whereas the St George campus is probably closer to what you have in mind of a large urban downtown-integrated university.
That being said, I have heard that the St George kids are marked on a harder curve than those at the other campuses, but that’s all speculation. Its easier getting into the Scarborough and the Missisauga campuses, but they don’t offer as many campuses as St George.
U of T only guarantees you a dorm for only your first year, therefore if you are thinking about the St George campus, consider the costs of living in downtown Toronto and/or commute time.
