<p>“Don’t go to Scarborough. Unless you want to get shot.”</p>
<p>While that is the common misconception about Scarborough, this is not true for ALL of Scarborough. I lived there for a decade and it’s not as “ghetto” of a place as others have described it. There are areas you want to avoid but don’t all cities have that? Even Waterloo has Kitchener as its neighbour (it’s not a bad place but there are some areas in Kitchener I wouldn’t want to frequent). </p>
<p>In terms of UTSC itself, I have some friends that have gone there. They liked the program but the campus pales in comparison to UTSG or even Waterloo. Granted, I actually find Waterloo’s buildings kind of drab so some of the buildings at UTSC looked kind of refreshing. Still, it’s a small campus.</p>
