@feverish and @summitlove16 Where is this Knowledge Base ?

That’s a good sign for sure. And you didn’t submit SSN to pen state before hand, right?

You have to add it to you MyUW dashboard - scroll to the bottom of your dashboard and hit the + to search for it.

Right. Same thing. We didnt put in common app. For Penn State, we received an email to update it 3 days after admission.

oddly, my daughter’s SSN page under profile showed up as missing a SSN just last night or this morning (can’t remember) and we had to add it. Thought that was strange since it looked normal like they already had it before.

Did you list social security number on the common app

I thought we did, but maybe not? The strange thing is that page showed that the SSN was there and valid prior to this, then it suddenly changed and said we needed to add it.

Interesting

We had the SSN update as well. I am certain that we had it in the CommonApp, but they asked for it again. As I mentioned upthread, I am 99.99% sure that our son will not be admitted - this was an absurd reach. I say that only so that folks can use our status as likely benchmarks for what everyone has, as opposed to it being a subtle “tell” on admission.

I’m glad you’re sharing this. Funny, with as many apps as they get nowadays, I’m not sure anyone isn’t a reach. Even the kids who look like targets on paper get deferred. Same with my older son’s school - University of Michigan. He’s a senior there and getting in is ridiculously challenging.

Good to know. Thx!

Better for the school. But not better for applicants who have ever decreasing options to gain EA acceptances before RD apps are due. Leads to greater uncertainty, less ability to gauge strength of one’s app, and way more RD applications per student and in total.

Hello, any one heard anything about Early Action acceptance dates?

Historically they’re announced on the last Friday of the month, so we are anticipating a week from this Friday, 1/26. But nothing official has been said.
