I may be mistaken but I think someone just posted to the contrary in the Michigan thread i.e. they’d been able to sign up for that but got Postponed.

Yeah, I just saw that too a few minutes after I posted that. Sigh… I NEED TO BELIEVE! 
yeah it’s disheartening when portal astrology turns out to have been misleading. I’m sure it’s 10x so for the person who experienced it directly. Yowza.

My daughter was accepted to Michigan and was able to register for admitted tour with available dates about 15 minutes before decisions came out.

How does one check this?
It’s gratuitously complicated for something that isn’t likely a “tell,” but…
Step 1: Go to https://my.wisc.edu/ and log in using the same credentials as the admissions portal
Step 2: Scroll to the bottom to where there is a tile that says “add to home” with a + sign
Step 3: Scroll down / reload until you see the line that says “MyUW Diagnostics”
Step 4: Click on the “launch” button
Step 5: Select " [View the information that would be sent
Step 6: Extrapolate presumably invented info =)
