University of Wisconsin Early Action Fall 2024 Admissions

Got it. I wouldn’t worry too much. The portals change at different times and often the “tells” aren’t at all reliable

I’m curious as well. Also wondering if pretty much everyone has it.

There’s a lot of stuff in my son’s portal that wasn’t there before. We are clicking around right now and there are student e-forms, under applicant profile there is a section for residency tuition. Also there is a field for diploma address another place.

Oh, interesting. We’ve always had the student e-forms and residency tuition.

Maybe we had them and just didn’t know it. This stuff can make you crazy - I need to stop looking!

Haha, I know what you mean. I think those fields you referenced were always there, but who knows.

Out of curiosity, do you have the “academic plan” listed? Some folks believe that is new . . .

yes we have academic plan with his major listed.

So if you go under Applicant Profile, and then Residency for Tuition, there is a tab for “residency for Tuition”. There is a whole section there that I don’t think that was there before.

Was that all there before too or am I making it up in my head. It looks like an imported blue and white…

I think it was there, but I certainly could be wrong. Also, the date we have listed is different - perhaps it’s the date the student applied?

Yes, you’re correct. It’s the date the student applied. It’s always been there. Do you have the same numbers? Like “1252” for “effective term”.

yup. Same numbers

“The comma after the word “plan” wasn’t there before, but maybe it was, this must mean something important but if it doesn’t I can still make it seem like I know what I’m talking about and whip people into a frenzy for no reason at all.”

Y’all know nothing. Accept it and relax. I suggest a brandy old fashioned, rinse, repeat, and wait for the decision. You’re doing others a disservice when you guess at this stuff.

For in-state we see this when she clicked on the application:
SS Application Summary Page is at the top
Name of student
Application Summary
Term of Application: 2024 Fall
Gender: Female
Type of Application: First Year Student
Date of Birth: (leaving blank for posting)
School/College: School of Business
Intended Field of Study: Business: Marketing
High School Graduation Year: 2024
Residence for Tuition: Wisconsin Resident

On the residency for tuition tab - that has all the same information and hasn’t changed.

Some minor changes but that is alllll normal during this time. Good luck to everyone!

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Hate to be bearer of bad news, but my D applied in late December for RD and her portal shows “academic plan political science BA”. I doubt they have reviewed and accepted her already, it’s only been a couple weeks. So I don’t think having the academic plan in portal signals an acceptance.

Academic plan has always been there, for me, what’s interesting, is that a user had the top left change from L&S biology to general course - BS.

Yes, that could be meaningful. Indiana university portal had similar changes and they proved to be relevant.

I know! But it’s in there. Funny what you notice when you actually start looking for “signs”
