Thinking of applying to US, Canada and Singapore.

Introverted

Prefers city center and competitive environment

Any recommendations?

Yes. Start a new thread and pick the “chance me / match me” category. Fill out all the details in the template provided to you (your academic qualifications, test scores, awards and accomplishments, extracurriculars, budget, etc.). We cannot provide recommendations without these details.

Also keep in mind that this site is primarily for US college admissions. Some posters will be able to suggest Canadian colleges but I doubt there’s much expertise about Singapore here.

Thank you

Also when you fill out the “chance me”template, make sure you note your budget in dollar amounts.
This is extremely important.

CS covers a wide range of topics. Look at schools that offer classes and do research in your area of interest.

Use this as a tool to find research depth. Don’t use it as list to apply to top 10 schools.

There are a lot of universities in the US and in Canada that are very good for computer science. I expect there are also some in Singapore but don’t know anything at all about universities there (and I would be a bit surprised if others on this web site know much about Singapore either).

Your budget will matter a LOT. You academic credentials will also matter. At least in my experience universities in the US and Canada seem to be able to understand the grading scales used in many different high schools across many different countries and continents. However, people here might not be. Thus in telling us about your academic results in Mongolia you might also want to tell us how this compares to other students studying in the same system. For example, if you are clearly the top student in Mongolia this might suggest applying to different schools compared to being a student in the top 10% of students in your high school. Similarly if you can afford to spend US$100,000 per year for four years this might also open up some options that would not be affordable for most students.

What you want in a university will also matter. However, “City Center and competitive environment” is already a good start in this direction.

There is also the question regarding why you want to study in the US or Canada. Just as one example, you should not expect to be allowed to stay in the US after graduating from a university here. In fact, when you apply for a student visa, if you say that you intend to stay in the US after graduation that would be a reason for them to deny your request for a student visa. International students are typically required to return to their home country after graduating from universities in the US.
