@madhusky2019 I sent my petition for appeal in on 3/31/15. Today, I received a confirmation saying "We received your petition requesting special consideration. We will inform you by postal mail when a decision is made. I am guessing that I will definitely find out within the next couple of weeks. I was also thinking that we should create a thread specifically for students who are appealing their admissions so that we can see everyone’s results?

Would UW take back my acceptance if my AP score report has a couple of failing AP test scores on it (I only self-reported the ones I passed, I wasn’t good at taking AP tests initially lol) I can’t pick and choose my 2014 scores that I want to send since it’s past the deadline, so I have to send the whole report to get college credit for the ones I did pass, even though the report includes my failing scores as well.
@pchristian90 my unofficial transcript loaded this morning, unless that’s a fluke it looks like I’m in! I mailed mine in on March 24. I’m hoping to get something in the mail soon!

@pchristian90 … Letter came today. I’m in. I have an interview later this week with a program I’m interested in. I’m committed to UW. Now hopefully fin aid comes through with a good package!!

@pchristian90 I was waitlisted. The envelope was white, pretty basic but I was prepared for that as an Admissions person told me to expect a white envelope. Thank you! I’m so relieved to have this process past me…now I can breath a bit!!

@pchristian90 I’d rather not share mine as it contains some details that are sensitive, but if you want me to review yours, I would be happy to. I had two teachers, my mom and my school college counselor edit mine, however I do think the important thing is to focus on why you want to attend the Seattle Campus of the UW and why that info may not have been included in the original application. I just followed the listed items to include in the petition explanation and had three solid letters of support (like a recommendation but specific in stating their reasons why I would be a good candidate for UW Seattle). Hope that is useful info!
