My husband had a boss who deliberately treated him horribly and caused him a lot of stress and distress. Husband recently encountered him (2 years later) and spoke to him civilly. I know if I encounter him I will walk past without speaking. I think it’s easier to forgive those who hurt us than to forgive those who hurt people we love.
