<p>According to The Phillipian, they are adding a “Lower Institute” for students completing grades 7 and 8. I’m not interested in any of the three programs that are offered for the Lower Institute.</p>

The Lower School Institutes will be a program for students who have just completed the seventh or eighth grades. As the first group of Summer Session Lower School, students will be given the option of enrolling in one of the following three programs:</p>

<p>• Marine Biology and Math will cover the study of the natural world and will teach students how to apply algebra and statistics to situations in everyday life;</p>

<p>• Making Literature Come Alive, an English and theatre program, will combine studying classic and contemporary American literature with performing arts and film-making;</p>

<p>• Dig This: A Study of the American Past will give students the chance to learn about early American life while they catalogue and excavate an archaeological dig site.</p>

<p>Many boarding schools - Exeter, NMH, others, offer summer programs. Check them out - perhaps others may be a better fit</p>
