Why do you say the 6th?
The 6th and the 13th are both Fridays, which would line up with other decision calendars (first or second Friday of the month). For the past couple years, the decision date has been the 13th, but this year admissions might move the date back as it was earlier several years ago. No announcement has been made so no one knows yet, but for updates check http://www.page217.org/penn-updates/ .
Last year Penn sent an email a week or 2 in advance saying the exact day and time ED decisions would be posted in student portals. If I remember correctly last year it was December 13th at 7:00 or 7:30pm.
Has everyone finished their alumni interview? Interview has been scheduled but concerned how close it is to the decision time.
I received my interview several days after the application deadline, but a friend of mine is getting a Brown ED interview on December 7, which seems a bit close to the deadline. Although this is not Penn, it makes me think that the decision dates for both will be the week after.
This is pure speculation, but I feel Dec 12th or 13th could be a likely dates for ED decisions.
The number of ED applications are significantly lower than last 2 yearsā¦which would suggest earlier decision date rather than later. May be. Letās see how it turns out.
Anybody know or have any speculations on why the amount of ED applicants fell so much compared to the other years?

The official reason is ā¦2018 and 2019 were out of the normā¦2020 is back to the normal as in 2017. From that point of view, the ED decisions should be closer to Dec 9th as they were for 2017?!

So Penn sends an email to announce the time? I havenāt received nothing yet so I guess it is the 13th then? And is it 7:30 Eastern time zone? It is like midnight 3am in here Europe lol
@knight yes, last year Penn sent an email to ED applicants announcing the day and time that decisions would be posted on applicants portal. Yes is was 7 or 7:30 pm eastern standard time (time zone for Philadelphia)

When do you guys think we will get an email for when the decision is coming out? If it comes out the 9th, thatās less than a week!
I doubt that itās coming out the ninth but no matter what, Iām sure weāll receive some correspondence this week about the release. Orā¦ someone could call admissions but they might get annoyed
