Wow! I played my worst round of golf ever yesterday, and today my largest holding in my brokerage account dropped 12% as the market hit all time highs. Hopefully this bad fortune is leading up to some good luck tomorrow!
Under the Penn Ed Parent agreement? What date was yours downloaded mine just says submitted
Im freaking out a bit here. Is anyone’s parent ED agreement on the common app actually downloaded
@nnn12345 Yes, mine was downloaded…
guys please calm down everyone’s common app says the same things as far as downloaded and submitted goes. Besides that doesn’t even have any bearing on admissions. They’ll call/email you if there’s something wrong.
@nomusicnolifex what date was it downloaded
Mine also just says submitted on the common app
Does anyone know if the acceptance video plays on your phone? Or just your computer? Trying to figure out the exact right way to open my decision lol
About the parent agreement being submitted / downloaded: I just checked and I doubt that it’s indicative of anything. The last post here http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1587951-knowing-your-ed-decision-even-earlier-than-the-release-date-p2.html is reassuring!!
@1622343 Thanks! There’s nothing to worry about guys.
“It’s not about the winning, it’s about the taking part”
Still it would help to know date if download for those that were. Please share.
to clarify what everyone is talking about: go to the my colleges tab on common app, upenn, recommenders and ferpa, and scroll down to PARENT ED agreement. if that says downloaded, let us know. not really sure why that would even be downloaded because its a pointless document- it is just so our parents know what we are doing. the important contract is the one we sign.
Thanks, also if it says downloaded what date?
honestly i wouldn’t listen to people saying theres is downloaded because theyre probably looking at the homepage of the common app.
@Dartmouth_21 Agreed, we’re all just too paranoid now!!
@1622343 yup no one needs that for no reason
Best of luck to all of you. I wish there were more than 2,440 available in the class for all of the amazing applicants.
For those who do not get in, please don’t take it personally, the schools are doing their best, but they often get it wrong. I have been left totally speechless by individual admission and rejection decisions at top schools. They do a good job overall, but some individual ones are really poor. When dealing with top 10 schools, the competition is so high that no one without a strong hook gets into all of them, so please to not get overly attached to one school.
As a parent, before decisions came out, I told D1 that I had no questions about her level of ability, and that I viewed the impending decisions as an intelligence test for the school, not an assessment of her. I saw the real question on decision day as, “Is this college smart enough to see your full potential in the application?” I hope that helped take a little pressure off of her a little. I wanted her to know that whether it said yes or no, my opinion of her would be exactly the same.
@Much2learn thank you that’s really lovely and reassuring
