My counselor called the office and spoke to a senior admissions officer and was told that “they’re unlikely to admit additional students to the class and that the students make other alternative plans”, then thanking him for his patience “as we managed this difficult and complicated process.”
Well. while some schools do send out notices that there will be no more WL activity - partly as good manners and partly to stop inquiries - it was traditionally something they did not do. A WL decision meant “no, you were not admitted but if somehow there is space, we’ll consider you to fill it.” Please assume that there will either be no news or no good news and plan accordingly. If, by chance, you are offered admission, you can consider how you would like to pivot at that point.
Waitlist is a no. Sure, some were offered spots, but the likelihood is low. They may not “close” the way we want them to, but I think they assume not getting an admit in March or shortly after, should have been clear.
Can someone call up the admissions office and ask em when the next wave will be? Traditionally it’s always 3 weeks after the first wave implying today…….
