UR Housing

There are only 2 freshmen female dorms on campus: Lora Robins Court and Moore Hall. Unless you choose to take part in one of the living and learning communities ([First-Year Communities - Living-Learning Programs - University of Richmond](http://livinglearning.richmond.edu/first-year/index.html)), you don’t really have any influence on your housing freshmen year.

Both dorms are pretty decent, though naturally both have their good and bad bits. As far as I’m concerned, LoRo is a bit nicer looking (because of simple things like not having cinder block walls like Moore which makes it feel a bit less institutional) and is near dhall, Gottwald, and Modlin, the latter two of which are convenient if you’re taking science or arts classes. Unfortunately, LoRo is the only freshmen dorm on the Westhampton side of the lake. Moore is located among all 3 freshmen guys’ dorms, is right next to the gym, and is closer to the rest of the academic building but a relatively far walk from things on the Westhampton side of the lake.

You’ll be just fine no matter which dorm you’re put in.
