How so? Did u receive the January and March Q&A?

Ask around for recent curves.

^ I have the January Q&A and -2 was 790.
Furthermore, I don’t have the March one, but I’m fairly sure it wasn’t 780.
And in May it definitely wasn’t 780. The January test was the easiest out of all 3 SATs I’ve taken (January, May, June) and I know for a fact that June had either -2 or -3 = 800.
Curves don’t “follow a downward trend”. It just so happened that the last couple of tests (minus June) were easy. There’s no pattern. And -2, before January, was literally always an 800. Pretty sure it was only in March and Jan. that it was a 790.

Thank you very much guys! I’m thinkin of givin SAT II MATH LEVEL 1, 2 N PHY IN NOV and the retake in Oct… I’ll follow the blue book, n improve my vocab. But i just can’t find any good tips for CR Passages and the Essay!

I took the january test and got the q n a. -2 cr was 780. I can guarantee u.

I second the original question.

I got a 2250 but my Critical Reading score was a 680 (curse you June SAT!). Given that the schools I’m applying to are upper tier, I believe it’s worth retaking to at least get into the 700’s. Do you guys have any suggestions other than just taking practice tests?

I took the June test and I can guarantee you a -2 was definitely an 800.

^ June test was significantly more difficult than the January one.
@Jasoninny
Dude, the Q&A is sitting right in front of me right now - literally. CR scaled score: 65 (or -2) - 790. 64 - 770. I have absolutely no idea how you got a 780, unless your luck was absolutely horrible or you had a different test, which is highly unlikely since all tests in Jan. are the same, just reshuffled (fairly certain.)
It was the only test, as far as I know, to not have -2 = 800, aside from the March 2010 one.

At any rate, this argument is irrelevant. The most recent tests’ curves have nothing to do with how future curves will be. The June test is testimony to that. -3 was 800, based on the curve posted in the results thread.

-2 790 is harsh, and whats worse is that its the hardest section for most people.
