All those schools were on D’s short list, and we visited them all. They are all excellent schools, so her decision came down to “fit.”
Rochester stood out for D because it offered a variety of public health majors, a flexible curriculum, easy access to the adjoining med center, and a commitment to undergrad research. Plus, I think she liked the campus and general “vibe” there the best. (It stood out to me because of its excellent merit aid.) I think she may have her eye on Emory for post-grad.
