US Economy 1 to 10

For me personally it’s a 9. Our income is up, our house is almost paid off and it’s appreciated tremendously. I’m in an area where even if the real estate market adjusted we have a huge nest age in our house. Over the years we invested in rental homes which now we are able to offer our children homes to live in at below market rent enabling them to stay living in the area.
We are able to travel, dine out without thinking about it. We aren’t fancy eaters so no Michelin :star: restaurants for us.
Just was in Spain and was surprised at how hopping the towns we visited were with Spanish tourists.
My area has seen a huge increase in residents from other areas of the state. It has changed the feel and as @abasket pointed out it’s at the expense of lower wage earners many who are struggling to stay afloat in an area with rising home prices.
