As for it being a joke, colleges have learned that sadly it’s a force to be reckoned with these days. It was not so long ago that Chicago, of all universities, met with USNWR officials to discuss fixing its rank and reporting measures.

<p>Yep, you’re right. It would be great if we could say that only the opinions of the established top minds mattered, but to get the top students coming out of high school, you have to play the rankings game.</p>
