zamela,

the parking enforcement at USC is definitely strict. my boyfriend has gotten a crap load of tickets already and he’s only been there one semester.

ugh. parking security people always think they’re real police! haha.

how did they get tickets? did they forget to put coins in the meter or something?? haha

@jason:

I’m not sure if there are less applicants but I would assume there are considering the economy and etc. There was also an article that USC wrote saying that they’d increase their acceptance rate about 1-2% higher so that gives us a little leeway as well. It’s just annoying to think of all the people who apply and get in and don’t take the offer =(

okay so i guess you could blame the tickets on my boyfriend’s laziness and lack of care for partially parking part of his car in red zones. hahaha :)

but i’m pretty sure they’d easily catch you if you’re not parked in the right lot.

uscplease777,

yeah it is upsetting to think of all the people who applied to USC as a “back-up” or just to see if they got in. i really wish they could see how much all of us on here want to attend.

ticket #1- it was the first week of school and i had no idea what i was expecting at the sbcc parking lot (it’s super small and it sucks). i spent like 30+ minutes trying to find parking and i was already 15-20 minutes late to my lab, so i parked in a 90 minute parking zone across the street. class was 3 hours. $41

ticket #2- not really a parking ticket. my mom didn’t renew my registration on time. i got the registration sticker in the mail the day after i got the ticket. i got to challenge it, so it was $10 instead of $141

ticket #3 and 4- parked at my boyfriend’s place without a permit cause he insisted i wouldn’t get one. $44 x 2

$$$$$$$$$$$$

aww that stinks.

i hope you made your boyfriend pay for number 3&4. it sounds like it was his fault.

yup, he’s paying for it. before i left my car, i called him to make sure he would pay for my ticket if i got ANOTHER one. he asked, “how many tickets have you gotten for the 983729928 times you’ve parked here?”

two now!

Only 1 person has respond to my chances thread…you guys mind giving your input?

Thanks!

hahaha. that’s good zamela.

@boarderbry:

i’d say your chances are pretty strong. your GPA falls around the average GPA of admitted students, and you have really good EC’s. i’m sure that you’ll get in if you made your whole application coherent. was that SAT score when it was out of 1600? or 2400? (not that it matters, they won’t look at it anymore because of your number of units anyways. i was just curious).

When it was out of 1600 LOL. I graduated high school in 04. Thanks for your input aaam90

is there a wait list for transfer applicants??

No, not that I know or have heard of…

hey guys, did anyone else hear back from their other colleges that they applied to? :)

I got into Pepperdine, waiting on usc! What about you zircushio?

congrats boarderbry! i got waitlisted at pepperdine my senior year and i was so sad because they didn’t resort to their waitlist. it’s a beautiful campus! (but i understand if usc is your top choice hahaha)

Thanks usc777! Yeah the campus is phenomenal, USC is my top choice but if I don’t get in I know I’ll be just as happy at Pepperdine for sure :D

i JUST got into University of Texas Austin, so i’m glad i have a good safety. It actually made me happy because such a small percentage of students from out of state get accepted there, so they must have liked something about me

I also got accepted to Rutgers (New Brunswick) back in February. But USC is my top choice, and i’m fighting hard to go 3 for 3 with these applications haha.

:D wishing that everyone here can get accepted. nothing like seeing dedicated future trojans smile. :)

USC is the only school I applied to.
