<p>knobzie - I got a somewhat similar letter this weekend. My application was turned in a week and a half before the due date and the main part of the letter said: "“We have started the initial processing of your application and have noticed that you applied for an academic program for which the deadline has passed; consequently, we have changed your application major to Cinema-Television.” My major was originally cinema-television, so I don’t see what has changed… strange letters. probably worth a call.</p>

<p>archieg, it’s funny that you mentioned your story because that is sort of happening to me too. Although i live in socal so seeing usc apparel is quite common, but i recently found a usc basketball and hat in my house from many years ago, this girl in my class always wears a usc sweater, and i see many usc alumni license plates. hahahaha</p>

<p>From what I saw last year, sophomores received more SGR’s on average than juniors. Essentially is another loop to jump through, while many juniors either received an acceptance or rejection. So it’s hard to say for sure, but at least 3 counselors at USC (plus some from my CC) have told me that they prefer people with, or close to, junior standing so they can be done in two years once they transfer. This is just what I’ve learned through talking with counselors, of course this is not absolute.</p>
