Sorry if I’m a little late to the party, but I don’t want to read through all 173 pages. Is this the message that most people have?

Yeah, most people’s status has been updated to the one you have recently. It means that they start checking people’s materials. I was informed that they miss my high school transcript. So, if you don’t have anything particular on the status, you should be fine with all the materials you turned in.

Does anyone know about the Psych and Anthro departments at USC? Like specifically about the courses and focus?

For example, is Psych more biologically oriented or social; is it research-y; internship opportunities; class hardness (relative and subjective, but overall reputation); or how difficult it is to be accepted into?? For Anthro, anyone heard of the Visual Anthro, and taking film classes; relative difficulty; professor reputation; etc.

I still have the lameo status. I had to withdraw from a class so now I only have 10 units. I plan on taking 12 units as soon as this semester ends, I’m completely terrifed I’m getting an sgr because I’d be done for. I have 46 completed though… God I’m scared…

Oh crap, now that I think about it do I need to tell USC if I withdrew from my class??ugh I might be screwed now I’m terrified. Does anyone know how we find our admissions person??

@nicole b - no status update for me =[ but I am hoping it is because I have all of my info. submitted so they do not need anything else besides my spring grades

does anyone know what determines if a sophomore gets an sgr and why they would not get one? besides units though, we all have less than 30 completed (excluding ap’s)

transferguy: My guess is it depends on how you did in high school. Because those with less than thirty semester units have their decisions made based primarily off of their HS record, I would assume applicants with very competitive grades and test scores are less likely to receive an SGR. That’s simply a conjecture, though.

so should transfer applicants applying as juniors expect to receive sgr’s or is it unlikely? i have 60 units…i wonder if i will get an sgr…hmmmm?

For the most part, I don’t think applicants going for junior standing should expect a sgr. However, I think there is always the possibility they would ask for them.

Hello All - Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t USC require 64 (transferrable) units to be considered a junior? I swore I read that somewhere in their articulation agreement, or something of that sort.

Hmm…I’ll give them a call tomorrow and find out, I’ll have to call them anyway, I need to inform them that I’ve dropped a PE class. I’ll keep you guys posted for anyone that’s interested in knowing.

I will have a ridiculous 114 credits completed with a 3.9 at the end of this semester however I still expect an SGR because I’m currently taking calculus I which is a marshall pre-req :/
