<p>@ samuelim1990 - You received a transfer admission acceptance already? I guess that beats last year’s record of a 04/23 decision, congrats! I think you usually receive financial aid information in a separate letter within a few weeks. As far as the 5/1 deadline, you can try contacting them to ask for an extension however I’m not sure if USC is lenient or not regarding that.</p>

<p>@samuelkim1990 - The $300 is a seat deposit to reserve your spot essentially.</p>
<p>Colleges understand that people apply to multiple schools and don’t always receive all of their acceptances at the same time (especially transfers). I am gonna assume USC is not your top choice if you’re asking about the deadline so hypothetically speaking if you pay the $300 and later find out your accepted to the school you really want to go to, you contact USC and withdraw. You then lose your non-refundable deposit and they open up the seat to someone else on the waitlist. If you were to enroll at USC, the $300 is put towards your tuition balance in the fall.</p>
<p>That is how the deposits work.</p>
