lolol Viterbi is just crankin them packages out! hahahahah CONGRATS to all who got accepted so far!!!

AARRG, I’m so confused as to if I have a good chance or not!

My pros:

-4.0 (applying to be a sophmore)
-Biology major (not business woot, I guess it’s not as competitive)
-Well Rounded, 4.0 gpa shows intelligence/discipline, my essay was on my physical fitness and athleticism , and my hobby short response had to do with my passion for music.
-LOR talked about how I was rank 1 in my professors biology class and my academics
-My essays and responses were elegantly written as well as show humor.

Cons
-Will not have english 102 (writ 130) done by spring. I’m taking english 101 right now and plan to take english 102 during the summer. I explained this to be due to budget cuts, because I wasn’t able to get an english class during fall semester.
-Numerous errors in application. In my essay I misspelled utmost and wrote upmost (lol), I also misspelled opportunities as oppurtunities (lol), and wrote “I hope to engage in research join organizations during my undergraduate years”. (lol)

BAH am I F***ed?

Wow, we’re doing pretty good so far. Are we 4 for 4 as far as people getting accepted on this thread?

MAKE SURE TO POST YOUR STATS ON THE ACCEPTANCE THREAD.

I’m also pretty sure that if your status changes in April, thats going to be an acceptance. i havent heard of any denials this early in the game. It seemed those came a little later last year.

congrats to all those people that got in today!! lucky!

@ChemEStudent.
do you remember how long you had the status “your application is being forwarded to the committee for review”, before it changed to the status “the committee has acted upon your application…” ???

@ uscGirly-- Do you know when you got the “We are reviewing your application…” status? I’m just curious to see how long CLAS is keeping students in that status.

@ uscGirly>> I don’t remember. I think it might be longer than 1 months. The status you mentioned had remained so long time.

@ TheGoldFinch
i had that status for about a month, i dont know exactly when it changed, i wish i had written it down, sorry :[

@ ChemEStudent
wow, you had “your application has been forwarded for committee review” for a month? dang thats a long time :[[
thanks

My Stats:

Varsity Pac 10 Track and Field Athlete @ University of Washington (#45 School) Freshman Year: 3.1 GPA (special consideration taken on Gpa because I blew out my lower back frosh year 1st meet which happened to be exam day, go figure you can imagine how the testing went haha)

Varsity UAA Basketball Athlete @ University of Rochester (#35 School) Sophomore Year: 3.9 GPA

Have a lot of extra curriculars too, I think I should get in because it’s pretty much a horizontal transfer we’ll see. Do they prefer cc students or 4 year?

@uscGirly-- Thanks, that’s helpful. I thought it would be something like that.

Congrats to everyone who got in! Color me jealous. :p
