@happydk
Oh. Now I understand. Yeah I don’t blame you for trying to start something new in a new place.

Does anyone know about the transfer merit scholarship? I haven’t heard about anyone getting it on here, yet USC says its one that they give out. I’m just surprised no one on here has received it.

@LovingSC, yeah im somewhat nervous…i wish it would go by quicker…

@tbibbs

I was just about to ask that. Weird. The only one I found was the one below, but like you said there hasn’t been anyone saying they received it?

EDIT: Nvm. I found some more transfer scholarships but they’re mostly for California residents.

@dbroncos-Bschool rankings vary widely depending on the source. just because marshall is ranked only like 24 or whatever on business week doesnt mean anything. USNews ranked Marshall 10th. Remember its completely subjective. Id rather go to a school that is ranked a few places lower by ranking systems that tailored to my needs and had the EXCELLENT job placement and alumni support system that USC has. **wink wink*

@SouthOCtrojan

Oh yeah. I agree with you completely. A person shouldn’t pick a school because of their ranking. In the end the school has to be the right fit for you. Anyone could rank it but it ultimately comes down to your own ranking. I just found it interesting, that’s all.

yea, Texas is a strong business school, but they cater to Texas. You want to go to school where you ultimately want to end up, and obvi that I want to end up in Southern California. F@ck texas. only steers and queers come from texas.

So I walk away from the computer for a few hours to study for a final and write a paper and the entire thread blows up over 10 pages? I love this thread so much…HAHA. I’m still trying to read everything that’s been posted for the past few hours but YAYYY FOR EVERYONE WHO GOT A STATUS UPDATE, I’ve got my fingers crossed for everyone on this thread! :)

@LovingSC Yeah, I’m nervous. It’s not just you. I want this to be done and over with.

@SouthOCtrojan

lmao hahaha

@ SouthOCtrojan

So schools ranked top in the nation serve the needs of a specific region? How interesting.
Knowledge is universal.

You should probably take a look at this.

ahh who else has the same status update?

and @doandydo and @housefan what are your stats?

where are the freshman attt

do you think it’s possible they do multiple waves per school similar to the freshman app? where the people with high gpa’s hear back first and then lower/borderline students hear closer to the deadline?

it seems that the people who are getting this first round of CLAS status updates all have super high gpas.

@lovingsc, man my stats are pathetic…39 credits 3.23 gpa…im hoping my letters of recommendation and essay about the Marine Corps will sway them

damn so many status changes…i feel left out :(

it should be really soon that we hear sth !!!
in next 10 days i guess transfer student applications ll be answered
good luck everyone

yeah for serious.

but good luck/congratulations to all those who got forwarded today. hurry up and get accepted so we can all feel the love :)

dandie: It looks like they’re doing it by major- notice how multiple sociology and philosophy students received a status change recently.

when the Marshall School of B is coming !!!

SouthOCtrojan- I had Cs

dbroncos23- School of Public, Policy and Development

and it doesnt matter about rankings but usc > texas always haha.
