USC 2010 Transfer Thread

@annenbergplease Thanks for the encouragement :)

To everyone else dwelling on our unchanged statuses, we need to be strong! lol

sirownzalot, I applied the 6th and got the assignment tonight.

i just got a housing assignment in Sierra. Don’t think I’ll take it. I want to take Gateway, but it really depends on how much financial aid determines how much I get.

@ everyone, does your US connect page show u this message
“Attention:
Our services will be offline for scheduled maintenance on May 29, 2010, from 12 a.m. PST to 2 a.m. PST. We anticipate it will be available after this time.
We apologize for any inconvenience.”

@bessahousemafia - They are just warning people in advance that there will be scheduled website maintenance on May 29, 2010, from 12 a.m. PST to 2 a.m. PST and that it will be available after the maintenance is over.

I am officially a trojan!

As anybody else back from housing?

Is there just one person that got into USC SCA production so far?
a couple things:
Did your status ever change? When was it sent out? When did you turn in your ap?

Congrats I ll most likely be seeing you down there

Congrats tron! The more Marshall we have on CC, the better!

OMG @Serapher I was placed in Manor too I dont think I want to go with it

@collegetrail USC housing assigned me in Regal Trojan. I don’t know if it’s good one or not. I need information…hmm…

I was placed in Honors House but I don’t think I’m going to accept the assignment.

I’ve got all of my stuff ready to submit for Gateway.

@Everyone- What are the chances of me living at Gateway without a car? How difficult will that be?

Also, if I do decide to bring a car, does anyone know the fee Gateway charges?

@Vinsap23: Yeah, my app has been on forward since forever!!

@wghiller - considering how much gateway charges for a bed, I’d expect they’ll ask for 150-200/month for a parking spot since parking spots are limited and that seems to be the standard for higher end apartment complexes. If you don’t bring a car, there are zipcars on campus and you have the dash bus which will stop out front that runs up fig to and around downtown. Look up the “F” dash line to see the route it takes. Also in 2011 you’ll have a subway stop a couple blocks away once the expo line opens up.

@ Kulakai - Thanks !

Thanks Kula. I’ve got an internship on Wilshire during the school year, so I’m thinking it will be pretty damn hard to do that without a car. Looks like a 50 minute metro ride.

@FINANCIAL AID(or anyone who knows about it)- My EFC on fafsa’s website says “09392 *”

Any idea how that will translate into USC financial aid?

@wghiller - nope. USC will combine your FAFSA EFC with your CSS profile and determine a USC EFC which THEN they use that to determine your FA.

Thanks Dainese. Hopefully that information will be available soon. All of the time I had been waiting to hear back from admissions, I assumed that the stress would end if I got accepted. Now I have FA, Housing, Transportation to worry about. I was wrong!

I just logged on and it looks like my USC e-mail address is unavailable. Unfortunately every time I try to set a password is says authorization failed. Grr.
