@wghiller - I’m not entirely sure but I assure you the rest of us Marshall apps are in the same boat regarding wanting to register asap. From what it sounds like we can’t until orientation on July 9th/16th which may or may not screw us on class selection depending on if they save seats for transfers or not.

@Kula- Where did you hear orientation? That’s kind of ridiculous, isn’t it? Most people have registered already–including freshman, I’d assume.

do you guys think the status updates matter anymore? because I still have the “june 1” status and we only have a few days before the june 1.

@wghiller I basically tracked my transcript and it said delivered but not opened/downloaded. I told my highschool theyre like thats super strange and that means tehy didnt look at it. also, Im bio but I might change. I got into their guarentee prof school program

@love- It’s a physical transcript, right? I don’t see how they could confirm if the package was opened or not? Unless it was electronic or something.

Yeah, I might try and apply for Critical Studies after a semester or two.

Its electronic only for my highschool and its official. lol

Weird. I called and they tried telling me my high school transcript wasn’t official. Maybe they just don’t look at them much if you have 30+ units completed.

@wghiller guess youre right. ( :

@Lovely- So how long after you received your acceptance package was the transfer report available online? I thought you had to send your spring grades in first, but I guess not!

@wghiller honestly, I didnt time anything and keep record sorry. I just simply got admitted decided to commit 1 week + later then I was like alright… I understand how USC works now and I was like ok time to look at OASIS… and then I just somehow saw it already then after I saw it online they sent it to me by mail… guess I discovered it before they sent it to me? I have no clue

Gotcha. Well it’s good news that it was available before you sent your spring grades. Hopefully mine will show up soon.

@ stargurl…no problem
…it was actually kinda nice to see…hopefully it’ll actually come true…

@gionrio: But if we really want to make it true, we have to find a hacker preferably a computer science major to give us all acceptance letters. lol

■■■■ FINALLY!!! it’s about time that i get a freakin status update! i applied to Annenberg as a Communications major.

Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2010)
Your application has been forwarded for committee review.

SOOO the faster it changes to the acted upon status the better chances of getting in right?

Hey guys,

I got an SGR and turned everything in and just had my application forwarded…any other SGRs in this situation?

@hellostranger57 - I imagine everything will change quickly at this point cause they have to get everyone their letters by the 1st.

@rhandler33 - What is your status atm? “We have received the spring grades requested by the committee. We will be forwarding your file for further review very soon. For students submitting spring grades, we typically mail final decisions by mid-July.” ?

@Kulakai So if it does change quickly, it won’t mean anything now?
Aww I need a sign! When can I start using the backdoor method?

Last week of finals…just got dumped…stressing over June 1st

Don’t disappoint me USC! :(

@kulakai my status is

Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2010)

@stargurl93 oh yeah i know somebody asked the same question but i didn’t see an answer, or maybe i missed it. i was confused because

“No core classes or General Education requirements may be completed at a community college once you are enrolled at USC.”

but if i take courses, they wouldn’t finish until end of july ish… not sure if ill hear the decision from my sgr in time to drop the courses if need be.

thanks for answering though :)
