<p>I answered a PM earlier today about Spring admission (and the person who asked ended up with Fall!!!), and I thought I would re-post out here on the forum as a few of you are wondering about it. This is not a definitive or official answer as it is just cobbled together from my leaky memory, but it might help get some wheels turning about the possibilities.

Musings on Spring admits!</p>

<p>Spring admits “look” just like Fall admits in terms of qualifications. Spring admission is offered to students USC really, really wants, but for whom there just isn’t room (I am certain USC could fill its class three times over with highly qualified candidates if they just had room!). There is a bit of room in the Spring thanks to most students who study abroad choosing to do so in Spring (they don’t want to miss football season in the Fall ) and to December graduations. As far as numbers, I don’t really know - perhaps a few hundred?</p>

<p>Every year a few dozen (at least) Spring admits are offered Fall admission during June as commitment deposits are received for freshmen and transfers and little bits of room are found here and there for some majors.</p>

<p>NMS offered Spring admission get the same 1/2 tuition scholarship as Fall admits.</p>

<p>Fall may be spent working, attending community college OR a 4-year, studying abroad, doing volunteer work, internships, ??? The possibilities are endless. After they get used to the idea, many Spring admits say they wouldn’t change a thing about their experiences! Others enroll in a 4-year, planning to go to USC in the Spring, and fall so much in love with the school where they start that they change their plans and stay put.

<p>After getting rejected from Duke (ugh) and Tufts, USC was my last reach school. I’m at the NC HOSA conference right now so I was waiting for my mom to get home and check the mail…I walk into the mall with my friends and look at my phone “You got accepted!” and literally screamed in the middle of the mall and ran around. I needed this sooo badly. Honestly shocked I got into Viterbi, but with NMF scholarship…hopefully it works out. CONGRATS TO ALL!!! </p>

<p>Acceptance in the Bay Area today. I actually received an email from the professor in charge of my major (Philosophy, Politics, and Law) congratulating me on my acceptance before I even got home to check the mail.</p>

<p>Accepted from SF into Marshall! Very surprised since I was rejected from UCB, UCLA, UCD, UCI…
In case anyone is wondering, my first choice major and class were posted under fin aid before they took it down.

<p>For those accepted, can you go to your financial aid page, right click and select “view page source,” then do a page search for “major.” What do you see? Is there anything that has your major listed next to it?</p>

<p>a “withdraw my application” tab just appeared but i havent gotten anything in the mail yet. And still have nothing confirming acceptance. Anyone else accepted have this or anyone is my same position? </p>
