@“Engineering freshman” USC isn’t a state school
I live in SoCal, unweighted GPA 3.92, weighted 4.1, ACT 35. Fair amount of extracurriculars, unfortunately all my awards have been recent. I haven’t gotten anything yet but my next door neighbor has. I saw that other SoCal people have gotten rejections yet…I live like 45 minutes away too. Should I be worried? Can someone reply to me so I can feel better 
@blourring the way I read it, it sounds like my ‘original’ rejection letter was addressed incorrectly. I did not receive an acceptance letter/package although several from my high school have. I read in an earlier thread of someone who received the acceptance package in the mail but the letter inside was addressed to another person. A mess-up, for sure.

@miamibabe1 the mail lady actually didnt leave it since it was raining horribly and didnt fit in the mail box so i saw her and followed her to get my box but otherwise i would have not gotten it so that may have happened it it was raining near you! theres a lot of hope! good luck

@Tiger99 I’m an international student who applied for Wbb program and didn’t receive anything yet. Maybe I think I would get portal update prior to mail.
I live in Santa Clarita Valley area and people from my district got acceptances yesterday and rejections today… but I haven’t gotten anything yet? Should I assume it got lost in the mail haha

Got accepted as a Spring Admit to Marshall. Honestly pretty disappointing even though it is an acceptance. My stats were 32 ACT, rank 6/600 and a some leadership positions in clubs. Probably going to end up at UT Austin. Oh and I’m located in Austin TX

@huey777 I am pretty sure each professor picks their top 3 candidates and interviews them all, and then brings them to committee. But I have no idea how big the committee is or how much they have to narrow it down.
I’m in LA and went on a visit to USC today while my decision is waiting for me at home in Indiana (I’m dying). I have a 3.8 UW GPA, pretty stellar e.c.'s, I would assume great LOR because I’m pretty close with my recommenders. However, my SATs are pretty damn good but they’re not AMAZING, which means statistically I’m not supposed to get in. Which is why I should’ve never visited bc I absolutely fell in love with the campus and will be devastated when/if I get rejected. In the info session of the tour, the admission director said that numbers (SAT, GPA, & ACT) are actually not that big of a factor in your admission decision, that they look for leadership qualities, commitment, desire, and good LOR. If that isn’t complete BS then I may actually have a chance of getting in. But we’ll see. Would jump at the chance to even be admitted in the spring. Sending good thoughts & prayers towards everyone, I wish you guys the best, and it’d be real dope if you could all do the same. Hope you all receive the news you want and are successful no matter where you attend!!!

If I was admitted with a 3.6 GPA I’m sure every single one of you has a great chance. Don’t stress if your mail has not come yet, you’ll know soon enough. Good luck everyone and Fight On!
@dzdjdjango Did the professor mention anything else to you about the process because I was interviewed for film production and asked him about why I had an interview (didn’t know they existed and my stats are pretty bad compared to everyone on this thread so I didn’t think it meant anything) and he told me that they interviewed EVERYONE. I know now that this is not the case and he gave me no more information about it which I think is kind of odd. Anyways, if I haven’t received a call and I didn’t receive a package in the mail today (out of state) should I assume the worst?
