Essays (rating 1-10, details)::
- Why USC Essay: 7, very solid but nothing extremely special. Showed I was passionate about school but that is true for all film applicants
- SCA Supplements: 10, definitely the reason I got in.
Teacher Recommendations (rating 1-10, details):: I submitted two, both were in the 8-10 range
Counselor Rec (rating 1-10, details):: 5, I go to a huge public high school so nothing special
Additional Rec (rating 1-10, details):: I did not have an additional rec
Interview: It went well. I interviewed for film production, but I spent a lot of my interview talking about my love for a certain filmmaker/style of film which I think my interviewer liked but may have been the reason I did not get in to my first choice major.

Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected:
Where else you are applying or have already applied: Rejected UCLA
General Comments/Advice/Hindsight: Do not be discouraged from applying just because everyone says it is so hard to get in! If you don’t try, you will never know. I thought I was for sure getting rejected and was extremely shocked. Never count yourself out. Whether you are/aren’t admitted, it is what you make of the school - you can be successful anywhere, and where you go is NOT who you will be.
