USC class of 2023 Applicants Thread

Everyone has it, means nothing

@thebestfordd So sorry. When did your portal update?

Do you all have weirdly big fonts on the portal and bad layout

@blueblast the note doesn’t mean anything. Status update comes below the note

@wyy1349 I do

I thought cruel and unusual punishment was unconstitutional

@wyy1349 yes same here. portal still hasn’t updated since

no portal update… this is actually painful

Got my spring admission portal update. I’m honestly not sure if I want to go to a school that doesn’t like me enough to offer me fall admission though ĀÆ_(惄)_/ĀÆ

I have the note from the VP in big text followed by the ā€œplease note:ā€ in ridiculously small font…

How does spring admission work? Would you have to commit to a different school fall and then transfer over to USC?

TTP thread updated here:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/1975778-the-trojan-transfer-plan.html#latest

I left the thread started last year because there are some good Q&As within it and its not that long to read through

you.usc.edu is a goner.

I think a lot of people might take a gap year or go to community college the first year @happinessconquersall

Anyone from NJ get the update yet?

I happen to be in a Chinese international student’s chat group, multiple people rejected way earlier. I am suspecting that it goes out by geographic region… So the international students are first.

@justanotherstudent2023 You are like 60,000 strong with those same moves.

Which however, may explain why it is hard to get an update. lol.

But who could stop now?

to lighten the mood: what did yall put for ur fav snack? i put welches fruit snacks

Got rejected. :frowning: But it mentioned a plan for me to transfer after 2 semesters at another college and even said they have set aside a time for me to meet with admission staff in June to get an idea of what I’d have to do? I was just wondering if this was in everyone’s rejection letter or if it was specific to me? It mentioned how I’m a legacy which makes me think it’s specific, but I’m just not sure.

thanks for posting @itsacrapshoot, super helpful, same words they have use for last 5 years.
